Pinzgauer Heimatmuseum /Schloss Ritzen
Secular building
no
On the shores of Lake Ritzen are the remains of the medieval defensive fortress and a side wing which was built in 1593 and today houses a homeland museum. It displays a valuable collection of Christmas cribs in which you can recognise entire communities and landscapes from the region. The two most striking highlights at Ritzen Castle are the Biberg Stag - a Celtic sculpture carved in the 1st century BC, and the Nativity Crib exhibition.
