| Just sousth of the city of Atri, the landscape is extremely interesteng. The badlands were created by the erosion of clay soils by meteoric rainfall and appear as lage troughs in the hillside. The area is classified in a nature reserve and covers ca. 350 hectares. The landscape no only features eroded cliffs, but also trenches, small lakes, wood and interesting variety of flora and fauna. |
