Description:
Former convent of S. Maria degli Angeli, close to the city center, should certainly be visited. It was built near a frescoed cave portraying the Virgin. This discovery followed a threefold revealing vision probably occurred during XIII Century. As a memory of the second apparition, each third Sunday of May the so-called Madonn’ d’ Basce is celebrated. Inside the church is a polychromatic stone Christmas crèche by Paolo da Cassano.
