It is one of the two Roman Catholic cathedrals in Montenegro. Seat of the Croatian Catholic Bishopric of Kotor. First built in the 11th century in Romanesque-Gothic style, reconstructed after earthquakes. Chapel holds the remains of St. Tryphon, the patron saint of the city.
