| Vernjikica is located 1.5 km from Lazar’s cave in the canyon of Lazar’s River, at an altitude of 454 m. It is connected with Lazar's cave by arranged footpath. The cave was named after the Vlach’s word ‘var’, which means limestone.
A large number of stalactites and stalagmites is characteristic of Vernjikovica, and they are interestingly shaped and beautifully colored. Hard red pillar at the entrance of the Vilingrad is 8 m high, and in the hall" Colosseum " there is a stalagmite " Colossus " 11.5 m high, which is a trademark of Vernjikica. Because of the unusual form, one group of stalagmites is called "Godzilla" and it is 10 m high. There is cave jewelry of coral structures. Hall ‘Mramorje’ has jewelry made of crystal calcite. |
