From historical sources is calculated as the construction of the Chapel lasted from 1662 to 1670. The church has a nave with side walls made of local stone and masonry carparo stone. The facade is simple but elegant, animated by a central window, whose decorations are repeated in the portal and on the cornice. Especially nice is the altar stone dedicated to the saint, the altar cloth, which are attributed miraculous powers. It 's by the painter Charles Rose. Around 1737 the altar was completely rebuilt and adorned with rich polychrome sculpture in local stone. The richly carved columns, surmounted by the magnificent statues of San Fortunato and San Giusto. On the side doors of the sacristy to be reported the statues of St. Irene and Santa Monica. Statues, praying cherubs and garlands of flowers and fruits, covered with gold, representing a significant example of architecture of Lecce Baroque sacred decorative.
