| The Vjekoslav Karas Gallery was founded in 1945 by Nikola Dragaric and Branko Kozina and then became part of the town museum. There is a noticeable piece of work in the gallery by Vjekoslav Karas called Mother leaving Moses by the River dated from 1842. Vjekoslav Karas is said to be Croatia’s first native born artists. Other artists featured in the gallery are Hugo Luksic, Franjo Floran and Nikola Dragonic.
