The abbey complex is in the small village of Jurandvor and includes the Church of St Lucy where the stone tablet of Baska was discovered. The site dates back to the Roman times but the Glagolithic monks settled here in the eleventh century and then in the twelfth century the Benedictine monks took over. In 2000 the abbey’s complex was restored and a visitor centre established including an archaeological park. Visitors to the centre can view a documentary film about the tablet and its link to the abbey complex.
