Description:
Karin has existed since Illyrian and Roman times. The Romans built an amphitheatre here. The medieval burg at Karin was owned by a number of large Croatian families and was mentioned in the documents of Pliny and the Byzantine emperor Constantine VII. The Turks occupied the burg until 1683 and it was left to decay. The ruins are accessible on foot.
