Perusic Castle

Perusic Castle was built in the fourteenth century and was first recorded in 1449. It was occupied by the Ottoman Turks after the Battle of the Mohacs in 1526. The Turks also occupied the castle before it was demolished in 1944. The castle was square with rectangular towers at the corners. You can visit the remains of the outer wall on foot from the village of Perusic.
