| The Brijuni are a group of islands: two large and twelve small islands along the coastline of Istria. The park has an area of thirty four square kilometres. The Brijuni islands are covered in Mediterranean vegetation, some of which is landscaped into a park and the islands also have an indented coastline. The islands have been used as a holiday resort for important people worldwide but there is also valuable heritage from the Roman and Byzantine eras. The oldest golf course can be found on Veliki Brijun. |
