| This monastery has an important role in the history of Montenegro and Orthodoxy, and it was an extremely strong spiritual center. It is famous for the fact that Arsenije III Carnojevic, episcope of Pec patriarchy here became a monk. The monastery was devastated and ravaged both by the conquerors and by the earthquake. Today it has been partially renewed and is partially being used.
