The Museum of Lika was founded in 1965 and is located in a Grade B category building that was built for a Lieutenant in 1789. The museum became regional in 1970 and has departments relating to archaeology, ethnology, cultural history and numismatics. Notable items are the Lapidarijem and Zbirkom weapons. There is also a display relating to the Natural Velebit. This is the only museum that shows Licko traditional art and holds regular events relating to the renowned artists. The museum has also contributed towards local excavations.
