| The church was built during the late 1720?s and early 1730?s by Gregor Maček (1682?1745), Slovenia?s most important Baroque architect. The pulpit is the work of sculptor Jakob Lohr (1733?ca. 1772), and the remaining furnishings from 1860 are the work of the Šubic workshop in Poljane. The altar paintings are by Metzinger, Layer, Egartner, Langus, and Stroy, and the frescoes are by Janez Wolf. |
