Description:
The Cathedral was built in the 8th century on the remains of a temple to Apollo and Vesta. It was renovated in 1076 and has since suffered damaged due to a whole series of fires, invasions and earthquakes. In the Crypt witha a nave and two aisles are the sepulchre of St Pamphilus and a relief qork from the 12th century depicting the Madonna and Child on the Throne.
