| The Ethnographic Museum of Bomba originated from the necessity to remember our local history and to introduce young people to past traditions and our cultural roots through the tools of daily life. In this way young people can rediscover their own roots and their cultural identity. The purpose is to make knowledge of their world’s values and of their culture available through a diachronic comparison with the past and a synchronic comparison with the present. The Ethnographic Museum of Bomba, opened in 1990, collecting the tools used by men for many years to produce all the necessities to satisfy their needs and improve the social conditions of their families. In this museum the objects have been placed in six rooms that represent the different environments of a country house. |
