| The Church of Sv. Urh in Maršiči originated in the Middle Ages and was renovated in the Baroque period. It is decorated with 16th-century frescoes by the so-called Croatian painters painted in a colourful and anecdotal folk style. The very unusual allegory, a fresco of a pilgrim fox carrying a stolen goose in a bag, is surrounded by the insignia of church dignitaries, is an intriguing interweaving of Reformation ideals and folk humour. |
