Description:
The basilica of Maria Luggau is one of the most famoust pilgrimage churches in Carinthia and the sole basilica in Carinthia. The origin of the church goes back to the year 1513. Originally it was built in a Gothic style, but then was changed according to the Baroque style. The order of the Serviten is in charge of the pilgrimage. The monastery of the Serviten was built onto the basilica.
