| The Center was founded in 1953, and, in 1991, the Assembly of the City of Belgrade took over its foundation rights and obligations. The main activity of the Center is cultural and educational and, within it, it organizes theater performances, movie picture shows, arts exhibitions, work with the theatrical amateurs, various courses in arts, panels, cooperation with the institutions of higher education, inter-municipal and regional cooperation with the cultural centers.
The major events that the Center organizes are the international visual artists’ colony and the municipal competition of reciters. |
