| On Easter Monday, the town of Orsogna, hosts an extraordinary event, the festival of the "TAlami" chariots carrying living representations of biblical events played by actors in plastic poses and surmounted by a little girl impersonating the Black Madonna, tied up in front of a halo. The Talami have lost nowadays the original unsophisticated and crude character and now are beautifully staged using also precious and very accurate costumes. |
