Description:
The St. Maximilian parish church is a highly interesting sacred building with a Roman central piece, transept and an octagonal central cupola. The walls surrounding the tower date back to the 11th century. The tomb of bishop Sylvester (died in 1455) situated in the left transept and late Gothic frescos and Baroque altars are of particular value from the art historic point of view. The Rupertikreuz cross made between 700 and 800 AD is stored in the parish area.
