| It was built along the Aterno River and still has an imposing appearence for those who travel today on the road connecting the Campanelle pass to Preturo village. It was built in the middle of the 1st century A.D., since the theatre structure was built with a special tecniquie calle "opus caementicium" and covered with red clay briks. The 48 arcades around its circumference supported several tiers of seats, which today have disappeared, and the total capacity was for more than 6.000 spectators. |
