| Located in the middle of Aterno Valley, southeast of L'Aquila, the area has been subjected to several excavations between 1995 and 2000. Among the most interesting points emerged from the excavations is the imposing wall of support for what is considered a large temple, or area of worship, dedicated to a divinity probably connected to the water.
Nearby are the monumental remains of the medieval cathedral of Forcona. |
