The old building of San Lazzaro with two churches, monastery and hospital was founded in the Middle Ages by the Order of the Knights of St. Lazarus. Fallen into disrepair, it was rebuilt in 1406 with the titration of the SS Trinity, and entrusted to Celestine. It was then given to the Brotherhood of SS Trinity University of Barletta, the Order of Brothers Hospitallers. A church was rebuilt in neogothic style in the eighteenth century. It has a sleek facade single portal, with two bell towers and tympanum two spirals, is structured in a single room. It is known under the popular name of St. Joseph.
