The present church of San Gaetano, was founded by the Order of the Theatines in XVII century. They actually changed the existing and smaller church called St. Joseph's, a name which at first was inherited. With R.D. in 1809 the church passed to the town of Barletta, and then the pastor of St. James, and finally went to the Brotherhood of SS. Trinity '(1838), who restored the church entirely. Today the building is intended for public offices. Outside the church shows a sober façade, a single portal, side and four niches in the upper pediment with two corrections. Inside the church has six side chapels, three on each side, communicating with each other and separated by rounded arches, and a large semicircular choir that surrounds the altar. We have hosted numerous canvases, including a painting attributed to Cesare Fracanzano, depicting the Virgin Mary among the parents St. Joachim and St. Anne, and two large paintings depicting The dream of St Joseph and the Flight into Egypt, already issued for Altobello but then ascribed to the hand of Paolo De Matteis.
