| The convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli is located in the suburb of the city. Anciently dedicated to S. Mary Grace, was built by the Capuchin friars in the city of Barletta between 1530 and 1550, period of the plague when the Capuchin convent took care of the sick room . During the War of Spanish Succession in the seventeenth century took refuge in the convent, the Count Tiberio Carafa and the Prince of Macchia, fleeing from Naples. Connected to the same sequence of events on the Spanish throne, is the burial in the convent of the Belgian nobleman Aurenio Francesco del Poulschet. Today it is home to the parish, a nursing home for elderly and recreation point for many young people. The church is neo-classical style, with the single hall inside covered with white stucco.
