Description:
The church of St. Anthony Abbot, also called Sant'Antuono, is located at the pier St. Anthony. The church was built in Romanesque style is very essential in the eleventh century. According to local legend was built by the will of a sea captain at the point where he landed after being saved from a raging storm. On the orders of the Viceroy Peter of Toledo was made into a fort to defend against the attacks of the Saracens with the addition of stone buttresses. The interior is divided into three naves with nine columns supporting arches et domes above. Today there is a restaurant inside.
