| The church of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars was consecrated in 1595 by Archbishop Giulio Caracciolo, with a dedication to Our Lady of the Well patron of the Franciscans.
The Renaissance style pervades the facade, which has four pilasters that divide with two ledges. In the niche at the top of the day is a statue of St. Francis of Assisi. Inside the church is divided into three aisles by solid rectangular pillars and arches to all sixth, with a triumphal arch in the chancel. Altar is carved the effigy of the venerated Madonna del Pozzo, surrounded by precious Robes. There are also many canvases painted with images of Mary and Franciscan saints. Today it is home to a parish, and the adjacent monastery is now used as a home for the elderly. |
