| The church was built in the fifteenth century by the lady of Trani Antonella Palagano. It was fully restored and modified in 1770 in neoclassical style. Inside, a single nave with side chapels, there is an altar of colored marbles consecrated in 1783, paintings of famous painters, such as the baptism of Jesus by the Neapolitan Filippo Falciatore and Madonna and Child with St. Francesco of Nicola Benzene from Trani. The walls are covered with a rich stucco decorations, typical of the eighteenth century. |
