| In the early seventeenth century Archbishop friar Diego Alvarez (1606-1635) bought the building of Rogadeo family to make it
the seat of Archbishopric. Shortly after, on the initiative of Archbishop Giovanni Battista Del Tinto (1666-1676), the building underwent several changes, characterized in that the late Baroque style. The facade of the courtyard has a triple row of arches on pillars beautifully carved blocks, and two balconies with balustrades on the upper levels. Submissions in this and in line with the pillars supporting the arches, four coats of perfectly equal, all these related to Archbishop Del Tinto, perhaps to emphasize its role in the restoration of the Palace.
