| The Palace was built by local merchant Simone Caccetta in 1456. It hosted the Venetian governors until 1509, then Teresiniani monks in 1642, and became a seminary in the eighteenth century, and currently has a detached home in the Palace of Justice. The main facade is in late Gothic style (expressed by the Gothic-arched doorway in a radial pattern) open to different architectural styles, as shown in the three-light window on the portal. Inside becomes a typical Renaissance architecture, with a square-shaped central courtyard where there is a staircase leading to the two upper floors and ground floor rooms, once used as stables, housing for staff and department stores. |
