General information
Castello di Ginosa
Secular building
no
The Castle, proudly dominating the ravine, is certainly the first great construction out of the ravine that was completed by Robert the Giscard in 1080 to ensure defence against the possible Saracen raids. Originally equipped with three crenellated towers and a drawbridge, after various alterations the Castle of Ginosa today looks like a large building that dominates, with its height dominates, the entire village.
