| The Church of the Immaculate is certainly the oldest in the town and is located steps from the Mother Church. Consecrated in 1582 it was deconsecrated in the early nineteenth century and was operated by the Franciscan order until 1809. The Church is developing according to the canons Franciscans, of which, however, only a trace remains of the cloister and the plant in a single hall of the church. The convent gave it the title of Santa Maria Nova, it was re-consecrated in 1938 and the opportunity we were restructuring, but also some damage to the decorations of the canopy. For a brief period, the current dell'Imaccolata Church, which was also housed the Franciscan monastery St. Joseph of Cupertino. |
