The church of San Michele Arcangelo is a religious building in the Romanesque style, based on pre-existing Roman and early medieval, located behind the town of San Vittorino, in the municipality of L'Aquila. The building, located a short distance from the ancient Sabine city of Amiternum, has a long history linked to the cult of St. Vittorino, martyr under Nerva and buried in this place in the fifth century. San Michele Arcangelo was reopened to the public at the end of 2011.
