| The church was erected in 1197 outside the walls on the initiative of the imperial court of the curia Falco, one of the founders of the Falcone family. It presents itself in the appearance of Romanesque origin, with a façade enriched by a small central rose window and a course of blind arches. Develops inside a rectangular plan with central dome and barrel vault, the latter is covered by a pyramidal roof of the regional tradition. The church was built as a chapel burial ground, and in fact the outer side of the north is occupied by the tombs of the family of the Falcons. The shrine dedicated to Mauro and Basilio Falcone has traces of a canopy, and the second, richly carved, is dedicated to Riccardo Falcone, and recalls in its invoices the Angevin tombs in Santa Chiara in Naples. The third is devoted to child Falcone is the work of Anseremo from Trani; it shows a tribble arched canopy resting on two columns.
