Founded in 1982 by decree of the then Archbishop of Trani Mons. Giuseppe Carafa. In the build made up by the Bishop Sarnelli as a residence, decorated with wooden ceilings (1696), there is the art gallery with paintings of the XVI - XVII century. Among the most important pieces of the painting of the patron saints of Bisceglie and a Holy Family with St. John, of the Venetian School (sixteenth century); the coronation of the Virgin by Paolo De Matteis (1716); the mystery of the Epiphany of Joseph Castellano (1718); Our Lady of the Angels. The Treasury Chapter collects paintings, silverware, votive, wooden sculptures and lapidary as well as precious missals and gospels from the Cathedral of Bisceglie and several parishes dating seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth century. Also a precious illuminated Gospels, written in Benevento, in the twelfth century.
