Description:
Located on Piazza Greca, the church combines elements of Roman and Byzantine architecture. The Church of St. Luke is one of the oldest churches in Kotor; it’s also a unique church because it features both a Catholic and an Orthodox altar. Up to the mid-17th century this had been a Catholic church, when it was handed over to the Orthodox inhabitants of Kotor. However, the Catholics retained the right to have one altar for their own use.
