The church of Saint Leonard in San Cassiano was built in 1849 on the remains of an older church that had been reduced to ruins. The side façade that gives onto the square in particular was greatly modified. On this side of the building a central doorway was created, the outline reinforced by smooth pilasters; in the upper part three arches were built containing three windows. Two symmetrical towers were built on either side of the façade, the left hand tower containing the church bells and the right hand one the town clock. The main façade, which is plainer and more linear, has just one entrance surmounted by a statue of the Virgin of Lourdes. The church has one rectangular nave. Along the long sides there are five chapels; the presbytery is partitioned by a marble balaustrade and on the opposite side to the main façade is the main altar. Coming in through the main entrance, on the right is the first altar in neo-classical style, inside is a painting of a saint, probably San Cassiano, surmounted by an oval portraying Saint Joseph of Copertino. The second altar on the right, in neo-gothic style is dedicated to Saint Rocco, Patron saint of the town. Along the left side is an altar dedicated to San Francesco di Paola, made in 1867 and an altar dedicated to Saint Joseph, where the Sainto is portrayed on a plaster bas-relief. A third altar, dedicated to the Souls in Purgatory, holds a painting of the Virgin of Carmine from the early 1900s.
