| Specchia Torricella is a relief artificial covers approximately 25,000 square meters located at about 120 meters above sea level. It is a mound (motte) erected by the Normans (XI century) on which there was a tower. At the base the earthwork was built a wide moat. Today the motte is an excellent vantage point of the surrounding area and is potentially one of the most interesting works of defense of the Middle Ages in southern Italy. Its valorisation may combine the use of a landscape with the use of an archaeological context. |
