The basilica so-called "The Centoporte" today in open countryside was built around the sixth century as part of a monastery. The church had three aisles, a narthex and a polygonal apse. The structure employed stone blocks for reuse. Originally the church was probably dedicated to SS. Martyrs Cosmas and Damian. The imposing ruin is surrounded by very interesting landscape.
