Description:
The parish church of Vignacastrisi was built in the first decades of the 18th century thanks to two generous legacies. Masons from Corigliano d'Otranto transformed a fifteenth-century fortress into the church in 1580. The sacristy, the space assigned to believers and the room leading to the bell tower were enlarged in 1920. On the outside the parish church looks like a castle with drains in correspondence of doors and windows, inside the vault presents Renaissance motifs.
