| It is situated on a slight rise near the sea , in the suburbs of Vignacastrisi. The farm consists of a building, the original nucleus of the complex, dating back to the 14th century, and of gardens surrounded by high boundary walls and organized in cultivable terraces. The main building consists of the chapel and of the convent-farm of S.Nicola in Pettorano. The façade is characterized by arcades which form alcove balconies with religious frescoes, and also by pilasters, cornices and ovolo above the entrance of the chapel, where we find a picture of S.Nicola, S.Gennaro and S.Oronzo. The farm was bought by the Bacile family at the end of the eighteenth century and was turned into a holiday country house. All the spaces have been scenographically organized. The main path, level with the rectangular portal decorated with pilaster cornice and spherical pinnacles in relief, goes to the wide vaulted lobby and continues up to a well situated in the middle of the court. The well presents floreal MOTIFS on the columns supporting the voluted trabeation, and ends in the portal leading to the closed garden |
