| The Church of St Luke the Evangelist rises on the foundations of a medieval church rebuilt for the first time between 1564 and 1569. The precarious static conditions, was demolished and rebuilt from 1777 and completed in 1783. The facade, built according to the canons of baroque late eighteenth century, is constituted by two separate orders from a trabeation. The interior of the church is decorated with stucco and altars dedicated to St. Joseph, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of the Rosary and the Trinity. In the presbytery, in addition to the marble altar, there are the paintings of the apostles Peter and Paul painted by Nicola Castelluzzo in 1814 and the choir with organ. On the counter is a large painting of the Expulsion of merchants from the temple. |
