Description:
The church of San Salvatore, now in ruins, was part of a Byzantine monastery, mentioned in the sources for the first time in 1310 on the occasion when his abbot participated in a council. The church is now embedded in the ruins of a farmhouse built in the nineteenth century. It has three naves and a semicircular apse. The aisles end with two small apses. The three naves separated by arches resting on pillars with capitals crutch. We still have several fragments of frescoes. The church is very similar to the nearby Abbey of San Mauro.
