The Santuary of Our Lady of the Lizza dates to the XIII century and in the XIV century became Episcopal see. The portal of the Sanctuary and its Gothic arch are very interesting. This pronaos was built at the behest of Charles I of Anjou. Inside there are some elegant altars, old frescos and paintings attributed to Gian Domenico Catalano and Coppola.
Our Lady of the Assumption (Madonna della Lizza) is celebrated on August 15
