| The Messapian Museum is located in the palace of the seventeenth century, belonging to the noble family Tafuri. The museum collects archaeological materials found in the town of Alezio. In particular, there are many funerary objects of great interest. Alezio, was in fact a thriving pre-Roman city. The Museum was declared a National Monument in 1981 and opened in 1982. |
