The Mother Church is dedicated to Mary ad Nives. It was built in the last quarter of the century XVI in replacement of the church of the church of St. Antonio Abate that was the ancient mother church (XIII century). Of the original church remained the perimetral walls the lateral door and some altars. In 1641 there were already four altars, plus the high altar, the roof in reeds, the floor in "chianche" (pavement in local stone blocks) and the walls decorated with frescoes. There was a wooden pulpit and two entries; in 1695 a cemetery was found in the immediate proximities of the church. The sacristy was built subsequently in 1725 and the bell tower was constituted by 2 columns, and then replaced by two arches. In 1823 the roof was built with vaults in leccese style. The portal is framed by two pilasters and two niches. The statue of Maria SS ad Nives, is set above the portal. A fastigium is closes the upper part of the front. The bell tower rises on the left side of the construction
