The Mother Church of Matino, dedicated to St. Giorgio, was built on the rests of a medieval church. It is dated 1753 and has a Latin cross plan. Inside there are eight altars richly decorated after the baroque style, some precious paintings representing the Madonna and the souls of the Purgatory and pictures dating back to the XVII century.
The Feast of the Miracle of St. George is celebrated on February 27. The feast of St. George on April 23.
