| The castle structure, with an enclosure and a moat, has a quadrangular shape and dates back to the Norman period but the two most important towers with a squared plan and some halls with ogival groin ribs, date back to the Angevin period. The enclosure is formed by walls of local carparo, about 8 m tall and 2,60 large, filled with formless stones. The main front faces east and is reinforced by two squared towers dating back to the Angevin period, that today rise up for about 8,5 m but originally they were taller. The enclosure entrance presents a pointed arch, where there would be the feudatory's coat of arms. |
