| The Convent of St. Maria of the Consolation was built in the XVII century, for a want of a group of monks of Spanish origin, on the rests of an ancient church devoted to the Lady of the Liguori.
The collection of the gallery located in the Cistercian convent of Martano is composed of numerous paintings by Giulio Gallipoli Pagano, donated by the widow of teacher Donna Maria Council.
In the museum there are also maps of southern Italy, statues, pottery and porcelain, fans and a coin collection. |
